I love books. Books birthed with passion, effort, and care that stand the test of time. Books that inspire change in individuals and motivate all of us to reach our highest goals. I’ve been reading books since I was two years old and writing them since 1988 (penning short stories and angst-ridden teenage poetry even earlier than that!)
My life is all about communication. In the UK I was a BBC television presenter, best-selling nonfiction author, freelance journalist, magazine editor, motivational speaker and career coach.
After moving to the United States to get my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin (2003-2008), I began providing online content to major corporation websites; worked at UT Austin in various marketing capacities; and consulted with big-name companies, small business owners, and non-profits. Most recently I pooled all my
skills and successes to become The Book Doula.
My ten mainstream published books have sold upwards of half a million copies worldwide and I continue to receive those wonderful royalty checks, more than ten years later.
What’s important to me these days is to work with people like you who want to write books that offer big ideas and real solutions to life’s challenges. If you have such a book inside you, contact me to discuss how I can help you birth it into the world.
“Elizabeth’s coaching got me to rethink my career path to date and focus on what I was passionate about. Her support and own personal passion for her work provided me with the much needed motivation to pursue my lifelong dream of being a writer.” ~ Clare Langley-Hawthorne, Author
“Liz has helped me organize and sharpen every aspect of my book. She's deeply experienced, organized, creative, and equally important, candid and fun. If you're looking for someone you can trust to take you from here, to there, Liz is the one.” ~ Ken Brand
“What Liz offers is way beyond coaching, where the idea is to help the person draw on what’s already inside them. She brings a knowledge of writing and publishing that is priceless and the book that we will “birth” will be stronger and more compelling as a result of her input.” ~ Dr. Ritamarie Loscalzo
