Why You Can Put Your Trust In Me
I’ve already achieved what you want–to be the author of one or more well-written books that you’re proud to put your name to, and which sell well. I’ve had eleven nonfiction books published, nine of which were by big names like Random House, HarperCollins, and Hodder & Stoughton. My books have sold close to 500,000 copies globally, and some still earn me royalties a decade or more later.
As a successful freelance journalist in the UK, I used to write 20 or more commissioned magazine articles every month for the likes of British Airways’ Business Life, The Harvard Management Communication Newsletter, Training, OK!, Good Housekeeping etc., so I know how to start a writing project and complete it on deadline. At one point in my career I wrote two mainstream published books a years for three years…in addition to my journalism, consulting, speaking and workshop facilitation careers.
I’ve been passionate about reading and writing since I was two years old. I LOVE books and read hundreds of nonfiction and novels every year.

I’ve:
- Been a student of human motivation all my life; I’ve got the Ph.D. (in educational psychology, from UT Austin) to prove it
- Coached college students and mid-life career changers for over 20 years; there’s a big similarity between crafting a resume and writing query letters to literary agents
- Experience as an author, journalist, personal development magazine editor, as well as The Book Doula
- 35 years of experience in marketing; I know how to say the right things to the right people
- Boosted my own book sales in 18+ countries with well-crafted marketing and promotion campaigns
- Broadened my book-writing career into international consulting, keynote speaking, workshop facilitation and other lucrative additional forms of income
- I’ve delighted hundreds of individual clients over the years:
“Liz’s support and own personal passion for her work provided me with the much needed motivation to pursue my lifelong dream of being a writer. Working with her opened up my eyes to what I truly wanted to achieve in my life and I know my success is, at least in part, attributable to the insight she provided me.” ~ Clare Langley-Hawthorne, Author
